The videotaping of weddings became the purpose of an ongoing research and development program
to improve the equipment and techniques of recording weddings to video. These
efforts have proven worthwhile in many ways, but most notably in our unique "live mixing"
two camera coverage of the wedding ceremony.
One camera is "unmanned" allowing it to be placed in an "up forward, off to the side"
unobtrusive location. Being unmanned, this camera can usually be placed in a location
that might not be suitable for a person with a camera to be. This is done to easily
and unobtrusively obtain a front view of the couple as they face forward throughout
most of the ceremony. This unmanned camera is panned, tilted and zoomed by remote control.

The other camera is operated by an experienced camera operator. This camera is on a small
tripod and has mobility; however the movement of this camera is limited to make it as
inconspicuous as possible as well.
A small video mixing console, well towards the rear of the building, is used to dissolve
between the two video cameras, and to control panning, tilting and zooming of the
unmanned camera. Small video monitors are used at the video mixer to monitor all viewing
angles and to make adjustments as needed.
The sound of the wedding ceremony is recorded with four microphones, three
of which are high quality wireless and are controlled individually from the
video mixer as well. Two way "whisper" electronic communications between the camera operator
and video mixer operator insure excellent coordination between the two operators
during the ceremony.
This brief description of the two camera "live mixing" system is
not meant to be a complete

or detailed description of our wedding ceremony coverage. It is intended to give our
potential customers a perspective on our unique approach, as well as our
qualifications, methods, thought and effort we have made to cover your wedding
ceremony completely, discreetly and respectfully.
All wedding receptions are covered extensively with one camera. The memorable coverage of
wedding receptions depends more on the experience of the videographer than any other
factor.
Although no two weddings are the same, much is involved in the videotaping of a wedding
reception. Knowing how and when to cover all aspects of the reception is critical to great video.
Please feel free to contact David to discuss the individual concerns about your wedding
ceremony or reception, and answer any questions you may have.
